Hotpoint

Hotpoint was formed around 1910/1911 and the Hotpoint brand name has become well known in domestic appliances (more commonly know as "white goods").

In 1998 Cannon, Hotpoint and Creda joined forces to become General Domestic Appliances Ltd, an official joint venture between GE and GEC.

In December late 2001, Merloni Elettrodomestici purchased a 50% share in the company General Domestic Appliances Ltd from Marconi for £120,000,000. On the January 1st 2005 Merloni Elettrodomestici changed its name to Indesit Company.

This was a new development in the white goods group which remains the largest, most successful company in the UK domestic appliance market and the third largest company in the European domestic goods industry.

Indesit Company owns four manufacturing plants in Peterborough, North Wales, Blythe Bridge and Yate. To view more information about the hotpoint Company, visit the Indesit website. More Hotpoint Info
